Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the heart of town, Sheehan's On Main Street is an intriguing blend of comfort and charm. David, our host, was incredibly accommodating, ensuring an easy check-in process and providing valuable insights about the area. The location is a gem, with free parking and access to the vibrant local scene, including trad music wafting through the streets. The rooms, while showing their age, were clean and cozy, featuring all the essentials like heating and flat-screen TVs. A lovely bar/lounge area with complimentary whiskies added a homely touch, perfect after a day of exploring. Breakfast was a communal experience-quite charming, though a bit slow with only one person preparing the food. Given the warmth of the hospitality and the strategic location, the reasonable pricing here offers excellent value for budget-conscious travelers. Sheehan's is a smart choice for those wanting to experience the authenticity of Ireland without breaking the bank.
